By claiming a ticket you agree to these terms with Black Ballad Ltd, Black Ballad HQ, 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF. Some events have their own terms as well. Where they differ, the event's own terms apply.
1. Taking part is your choice. Our events include talks, panels, networking, vendor spaces, virtual sessions, fitness classes and beauty masterclasses. You attend and take part at your own risk. If an activity involves physical exercise, or products applied to your skin or hair, you are responsible for deciding whether it is suitable for you. Tell a member of our team before you start if you have a health condition, injury, allergy or sensitivity we should know about, and stop at any point if you feel unwell.
2. Food and drink. Most of our events include food and drink, sometimes alcohol. We will share allergen information where we have it, but we cannot guarantee that anything served is free from a particular allergen. Check with staff before you eat or drink if you have an allergy. Alcohol is served only to people aged 18 or over, and we may refuse to serve anyone.
3. Age. Our events are for people aged 18 or over unless the event says otherwise. If an event admits under-18s, its own terms explain the conditions.
4. Photography and filming. We photograph and film our events, and we use that content on Black Ballad's platforms and in our marketing, including social media. If you would prefer not to appear, tell a member of our team at the event and we will do our best to keep you out of shot and out of anything we publish. Virtual events may be recorded and shared with attendees and members.
5. Being a good guest. We want everyone to feel safe and welcome. We may ask anyone who is abusive, discriminatory, disruptive or unsafe to leave, or remove them from a virtual event, without a refund. Please respect other guests' privacy: do not share other attendees' personal details or record people without their agreement.
6. Your belongings. Look after your own property. We are not responsible for anything lost, stolen or damaged at an event unless it was our fault.
7. Your information. We use the details you give us to run the event, contact you about it and, if you are a member, to manage your membership. We handle your information under UK data protection law and our privacy policy at https://blackballad.co.uk/privacy, which explains your rights.
8. Tickets and refunds. Tickets can be assigned to someone else before the event, but they cannot be resold. Each event shows its refund cutoff. Before the cutoff you can ask us for a refund through your account or by emailing us, and we will confirm what we can offer. After the cutoff, refunds are at our discretion. If we cancel an event we will refund your ticket. If we change the date or venue, we will tell you and you can choose a refund.
9. Our responsibility. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Beyond that, we are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have expected, and our responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid for your ticket.
10. The legal bit. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: info@blackballad.co.uk.
